I’ve been working on several projects at one time, trying to make the most of the free time that I find between watching my 2 under 3. If you follow my instagram stories you’ll know that I’m 1. Working on painting a headboard and nightstands for Landyn’s room – she’s almost 3 and it’s time to get out of that crib. 2. I’m staining a bar top behind our sink that we just had installed and sourcing bar stools 3. I just found a Serena and Lily look a like rattan self for $20 last week (compared to $1800) and I need to style it.
A few hiccups (or lemons if you will) are getting in the way of completing these projects. 1. It’s so so humid here and supposed to rain for the next 3 days making it hard to paint. 2. I stained the bar top and I don’t love how it turned out. Now I need to decide if I leave it as is and live with it or if I sand it down (ugh) and start over. And then there’s the bar stools… I think I’ve decided which style I want but now I’m just waiting for them to go on sale. 3. I could style this shelf with things that I have, I’ve already started with this a bit but there are a few items that I have my eye on and I just need to decide if they’re worth spending the money on or not… those bar stools are really calling my name!
So, no MAJOR lemons here but some slight bumps in the road for my current projects which lead to this fun afternoon of Landyn’s Lemonade Stand! With her in camp this week in the mornings, I thought it would be a fun activity for her to come home to today. We had the best time drinking lemonade, learning how to squeeze the lemons and watching Bryce try his first lemon! She can’t wait to serve Rob some when he gets home from work today!
